The Program and its objectives:
The B. Sc. in Textile Engineering program is a newly launched field of study of European University of Bangladesh. This is a 12-semester / 4yrs program for students passing HSC examination or equivalent in Science or Diploma in Textile and Chemical Engineering.The Textile sector of Bangladesh has been developing rapidly to meet the necessities of the huge population of the country as well as for the export sector which is flourishing because of our available manpower resource.
The B.Sc. in Textile Engineering program has been designed to fulfill the needs of our national textile industries for skilled manpower as well as for export of skilled and efficient manpower abroad. The program will not only increase the basic knowledge and confidence of learners but will eventually help develop their carrier as skilled technologists by promoting quality of our products and for uplifting of production technology.
Legibility for Admission:
Attempts will be made to admit the candidates with requisite qualification of 3.00 CGPA at both S.S.C and H.S.C level with math, physics and chemistry or any equivalent level or Diploma in Textile and Chemical Engineering may apply for admission into Textile Engineering course. Student with English medium background is encouraged to apply for admission.
Admission Process:
Students will be selected on the basis of past academic records and performance in admission test. Applicants finally accepted for the program will be notified of acceptance and registration within specific date. They will have to produce original certificates/testimonials and mark sheets / transcripts for all examinations passed at the time of admission. Candidates who have completed the above formalities will have to pay the requisite admission and other fees for enrollment.
Academic Session:
Academic Session for all undergraduate programs shall extend over a period of 4 (four) academic years. One academic year is divided into three semesters. Each semester will be of 15 weeks duration with 13 weeks for class teaching; 1-week break for examination preparatory leave and 1-week for holding examinations.
Medium of Instructions:
The medium of instruction of B. Sc. in Textile Engineering is English.
Credits requirements and duration of the program:
To obtain B. Sc. in Textile Engineering degree one has to complete 165 credits hours. B. Sc. in Textile Engineering program is a 4 (four) year’s duration divided into 12 semesters as shown below:

Graduation:
Having completed the above mentioned 165 credit hours one can get B. Sc. in Textile Engineering degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. In case of failure one can take the opportunity to improve the grade by retaking the examination in the subsequent semesters.
